O'Neal, Lloyd Eugene "Bill" 78, of Phoenix passed away December 30, surrounded by family and friends, after a short battle with cancer.

Bill was known for being good natured and always had a kind word of encouragement and a twinkle in his eye. He was a devoted family man and avid sports fan. Bill was born in Ackworth, IA on July 29, 1930. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Bill retired from US Direct after 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye, and his dog, Ragz; sister, Annie Baughman, of Indianola, IA; daughters, Jane (David) Munsell of Franklin, MN, and Brenda (Theron) Buzzard, of Gilbert, AZ; sons, Mark (Joleen) Schnell, of Bemidji, MN, David (Alexi) Schnell, of La Jolla, CA, and Dana (Yolanda) Schnell, of Peoria, AZ. He had 15 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and many nephews/nieces/ cousins/aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Grace; brothers, Leonard and Loren; sister Belva.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, January 16, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, 85024.
