(November 28, 1923 - July 12, 2015)

Leona Kumm, age 91 passed away July 12 at Unity Point Health Care Des Moines, Ia. Leona a former employee Simpson College of Indianola, Ia for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband John Kumm after 50 years of marriage. Survived by daughter, Sharon K Phelps (B0b), Bondurant, IA; son, Larry Kumm, Normal, IL, stepson Philip Kumm Great Falls, MT. 8 grand children and 14 great-grand children. Family requests memorials be sent to Simpson College Women's Athletic Department In lieu of flowers. Visitation from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 and a sharing service at 7:00 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, Iowa Private burial will be in Chariton Cemetery on Wednesday.
