(February 13, 1923 - January 15, 2013)

Lena "Lee" P. (Riddle) Haley, of Des Moines, was born February 13, 1923 in Chilhowee, Missouri and passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Indianola.
Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Cliff Haley; parents, Walter and Minnie Mae (Albin) Riddle and step-mother, Ruby (Craven) Riddle; five sisters, one brother and son-in-law Jim Smith.
Her memory will be cherished by her four daughters, Sharron (Bob) McKnight of Pleasant Hill, Nanci (Jim) Oliver of Des Moines, Bee Smith of Hartford and Jeanie (Mike) Smith of Coos Bay, Oregon; six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
Lee retired from Farmland Insurance in 1986. Following retirement she volunteered 23 years at Mercy Hospital, worked the elections polls and continued being very active in her church, Indianola Heights Christian Church. Cliff and Lee enjoyed square dancing since 1953, clogging, camping, traveling and spending time with her family.
