Leila Grace Courtney passed away at the Carlisle Care Center on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank (Pat) Courtney of Carlisle; daughters, Gloria (Clark) Tripp of Illinois, Sharon (Ken) Janes of Carlisle and Judy (Terry) Robison of Bussey; sons, Frank (Susan) Courtney of Altoona, and Gary Elliott of California. Leila is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Leila had been a resident of Carlisle, IA, since 1959. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Carlisle Cemetery, South 5th Street, Carlisle, IA. Memorials for Leila may be directed to the family.
