Raymond D. Kain, 82, of Carlisle passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at The Village in Indianola. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 20th at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 21st at the Carlisle Christian Church, 305 Market Street, Carlisle. Interment will follow at the Carlisle Cemetery. Ray is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Gloria, daughter Kayla and husband, Craig Price, son Randy and wife Debbie, granddaughter, Tara and husband Chris Winter, grandsons, Tyson Price, Jared Kain, Brad Kain and great grandchildren Emmry and Maddox Winter. He is also survived by sisters, Louise Brown of Knoxville, Deanna Schutz of Winterset and brother, Larry Kain and wife Florence of Kansas City, Missouri and sister-in-law, Frances Kain of Knoxville as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Clara Kain and brother, Marvin Kain. Memorial gifts may be directed to Gloria Kain, PO Box 196, Carlisle, Iowa 50047.
