Steven Michael Weaklend, 5-day-old son of Deborah and Steven Weaklend of Lacona, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mosher Funeral Home in Lacona, with burial at Cochran Cemetery near there. Steven was born in Des Moines. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Nickolas and Kyle, and a sister, Nicole, all at home; his grandparents, Wilma Weaklend of Osceola, Mary and Donald Lamb of Cottonwood, Ariz., Wanda and Walten Collins of Granville, Ohio, and Raymond Weaklend of Osceola; and his great-grandmother, Iva Musselman of Lamoni. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
