Becky King passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to services. Becky was born May 12, 1948 in College Springs, IA, to Robert and Bette Scott. Becky worked for many years in the insurance industry, the latest being for Equifax. Becky is survived by her husband Tom King of Carlisle; Sons Todd(Carol)Reed of Ankeny and Chris(Laura)Reed of Pleasant Hill; Daughters Lacey(Robert)Ross of Mercer, MO, Kara King of Carlisle, Kristi Doss of Des Moines and Kelly(Doug)Buchanan of Carlisle; Sisters Dorie Whipp and Carol Smith; Brothers Mike Scott and Steve Scott, her mother Bette Scott, 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Becky was preceded in death by her father Robert, sister Patty Runyan and brother Russell Scott. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
