Obituary – Sarah A. Nedrow
Sarah A. Nedrow was born March 29, 1835 in the state of Ohio and died at her home in Indianola, Iowa, November 12, 1920. When about twelve years of age she with her parents came to Iowa, coming by steamboat down the Ohio and up the Mississippi rivers to Burlington then by wagon to Van Buren county where she resided until coming to Indianola thirty-five years ago. She became a member of the Methodist church in early womanhood and while her life has been turbulent and beset with many trials and privations she had abiding faith in the promise that God will care for his own. She is survived by one brother living in Van Buren county and several nephews and nieces. F. M. Sadler, her nephew is the only relative in Warren county. The funeral was held from the undertaking parlors of Proudfood, Smith & Co. Saturday afternoon, November 13th, at half past two o’clock, Dr. Fred N. Willis officiating, taking for the scripture lesson the twenty-third Psalm. His text was “The Lord is My Shepherd I shall not Want,” drawing a most impressive contrast between those who have only temporal wealth and those who truly have the Lord as their shepherd even though they may have few earthly possessions. Mrs. Don L. Berry sang “Rock of Ages” and “Jesus Lover of My Soul.”

Death of Miss Sarah Nedrow
Miss Sarah Nedrow, for many years a resident of this city, died at her home on West First Avenue on Friday, November 13th, aged 85 years, 7 months and 13 days. The funeral services were held at the Proudfoot, Smith & Company funeral parlors on Saturday, November 13th, and were conducted by Dr. F. N. Willis of the Methodist church.
