Obituary – Lolanti Miller
Lolanti Miller was born Apr 3, 1876 at Newbern, Iowa and died Dec 27, 1934, at the age of 58 years, 8 months, and 24 days. He was united in marriage to Lena Hohl of Indianola Apr 23, 1902. She preceded him in death Sep 24, 1929. To the union was born one son, Murrell Miller, of Des Moines who was present at this father’s bedside when the end came. He enlisted in the Spanish American War Sep 6, 1898, serving in the Phillippines and receiving an honorable discharge June 24, 1901. He leaves to mourn his death his son, a sister, Mrs. Frank Daugherty of Lacona, two brothers, Elmer of Lacona and Lyman of Des Moines, 5 nieces and 7 nephews, 8 grand nieces and 8 grand nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian church, Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. N. P. Orcutt, with interment in the Newbern cemetery.
