Death’s Doing
Commodore, son of John Dowden, was born September 12, 1887, and died December 12, 1896, aged 9 years and 3 months. He was a bright boy and will be greatly missed by Mr. and Mrs. Levi Griffin, with whom he lived the past few years, and was the object of their love and tender care. Funeral services were conducted by C. S. Fair at the family residence December 13, 1896, in the presence of a large and sympathetic audience, after which the body was laid to rest in the Odd Fellow Cemetery north of Milo t await the resurrection morn.
