Obituary – Lelia Mary Walton
In memory of Lelia Mary, the beautiful little daughter of Albert H. and Eva Walton, who was born September 12, 1908, and into the quietness of the home the angel of death entered on November 7th, 1908, and the spirit of this angel babe drifted away on the bosom of that shadowy river that flows with resistless sweep to the shoreless sea, leaving these fond parents and three brothers with breaking hearts, but realizing that: “Heaven retaineth now their treasurer. Earth the lonely casket keeps, and the sunbeams love to linger where our sainted darling sleeps.”
The funeral services which were largely attended, were held at Plainville Chapel Sunday afternoon, November 8th, conducted by the writer, assisted by Rev Tennant, after which all that was mortal of this sweet babe was laid to rest in the narrow limits of the tomb. C. S. Fair
