(Feb 26, 1892 - July 14, 1910)

Obituary—Ethel Edwards
Francis Ethel Edwards, daughter of C. P. and Alice Edwards, was born in Indianola, Iowa, February 26th 1892, and after months of patient suffering, on July 14th, 1910, at 8 o'clock, just as day woke in its fullness, the angel of death descended and carried another soul to the portals of that beautiful City; there to meet her mother and other loved ones and renew the love broken here on earth.
Ethel was never a very strong girl and a few months ago that dreadful disease, tuberculosis, that takes so many of our dear ones, fastened itself on her vitals and continued its work until the Lord saw fit to release the soul from the so sorely afflicted body and take it to dwell with Him on high. For some time she had made her home with her grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Stapleford, where all that loving hearts and willing hands could do was done to relieve her suffering and make her last dark days comfortable. When she knew that death was near and that her life must soon ebb out with the tide, she talked with her grandma and said, "it is well with mysoul," "I want to go and be with mother and grandma will be with us soon." She leaves a father, one brother, her grandmother, and many other relatives
and friends to mourn her early departure. Short funeral services were conducted by C. S. Fair at the house July 16th, after which the interment took place at the Hammondsburg Cemetery.
