Margaret Wadle
(Feb 23, 1880 - Jan 10, 1908)

Passes to Last Reward
The sad news reached Milo last Friday that Miss Margaret Wadle had passed away at her home near here after an illness lasting for several years. She has been failing for the past few years and the dreaded disease of which she died at last won the victory and she passed peacefully away Friday, Jan 10, 1908, at the age of 27 years, 10 months, 14 days. She was born at the old home near Lacona, Feb 23, 1880. Most of her life was spent in Iowa and at one time she conducted a millinery store in Milo. During the time her brother was in business here, she clerked in the store for him and proved herself efficient in that line. During the last few years of her life she traveled extensively with the hopes of curing the disease with which she was afflicted. She first spent sometime at Albuquerque, New Mexico, but she was not benefited while there and she then went to Colorado from which place she returned the 20th of last November. She was pronounced incurable by the physicians there and the remainder of her days were spent with the ones who were near and dear to her. She suffered greatly, but bore up until the end. Shortly after returning from Colorado she became bed-fast and failed rapidly, only arising from her bed a few times. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the Catholic church at Rosemount and on her death bed expressed her willingness to turn everything over in the hands of her Savior, and she died a peaceful death. She leaves to mourn her loss five brothers and two sisters, one brother having proceeded her to the world beyond. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Rosemount on Monday morning after which the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. A large crowd was present to pay their respects to the dead sister.
