Arminta Flynn
(Feb 10, 1859 - Dec 31, 1907)

Arminta Pershall was born in Indianola, Iowa, Feb. 10, 185, and died at the home near Ackworth Dec. 31st, 1907, age .48 years, 10 months and 21 days. Her father, John Parshall, died in her infancy, her mother moving to Sandyville when she was three years, where they lived until her marriage with John A. Flynn, Aug. 23, 1877. To this union were born. seven children, four daughters and three sons, one of whom has proceeded her to the home above. She leaves a husband, six children, four brothers and an aged mother and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. She was a faithful member of the Christian church of Sandyville, Iowa. On Sunday evening she was stricken by the dreaded disease, Gall Stones, and after forty-eight hours of intense suffering, the all wise Father called her home. She was an earnest loving Christian and her walk through life was so straight that no one who knew her could doubt the reality of religion. She was a kind and affectionate wife, a loving mother, and a good neighbor.
She had her sorrows and cares and sufferings, but her soul was kept pure by her trust in God. She was true and faithful in all the relations of life; kind hearted, sympathetic and gentle. She lost sight of self in her love for others, and when the end came she was calm and died in the blessed assurance of everlasting life.
We share with the family in their sorrow and pray Gods blessing upon the breaved ones and trust that we will all live so that we will meet her where farewells are unknown. Funeral services were held at Belmont Zion church, conducted by-Rev. N. D. Gordon. after which the remains were laid to rest in Belmont Cemetery. The breaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of gloom, but we leave it all in the hands of our heavenly Father.
