James R. Crabb
(Feb 13, 1871 - Jan 6, 1908)

Is Now At Rest.
Call not back the dear departed anchored safe where storms are o're, on the border land we left them to meet and part no more. When we leave this world of changes, when, we leave this world of care,
we shall find our missing loved ones, in our Father's mansions fair.
James R. Crabb, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Crabb was born at Roseville, Ill, Feb. 13th, 1871, and died at the home of his brother, D. F. Crabb, east of Milo, Iowa, Jan. 6, 1908, age 36 years, 10 mo. and 23 days.. He came to Iowa in 1899 and was married to Belle Turnipseed, Sept. 11th, 1901. To this happy union two daughters were born, one dying an infant. He was converted and joined the Christian church in 1897 and about a year ago he renewed his covenant with God and united with the church of Christ in Christian Union at Belmont Zion, and lived a devoted Christian life until God called him and he passed out into eternity, leaving to his friends as a heritage the example of an exemplary Christian experience. Besides his loving wife and little daughter he leaves to mourn his untimely death, a father, mother, six brothers and one sister, one having passed over the river before him. He. was an honored member of Milo Lodge No. 413 I.O.O.F., also of the M. W. A. Lodge of Milo, both orders attended the funeral in a body, which took place Wednesday at 11 o'clock a. m. at Belmont Zion, services conducted by C. S. Fair, assisted by Rev. Gordon and Rev. Evaland.
