Cecil Matthew Fellows
(Jan 30, 1893 - Dec 3, 1907)

Cecil Mathew Fellows, son of T. V. and Edna (Amsberry) Fellows, was born Jan. 30, 1893, and died at his father's home in sight of the beautiful cemetery where he now sleeps, Dec. 3, 1907, age 14 years,10 months and 3 days.
His mother died when he was about two weeks old. Yet the few short years of his life were spent in pleasant places, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Reeves tenderly caring for him till he was 2 years old. When his father was married to Miss Vinnie Basset who has since cared for him with tenderness of a mother. Cecil was an exceptionally bright boy leading in all his studies in school, tender hearted and loving in his nature. But the angel of death decended and in the spring time of his life and bore aoft another spirit leaving to mourn his sudden departure, a father, step mother, a half brother and numerous relatives and friends. "And though our hearts are lonely, and though sad thoughts arise, we trust e're long lo meet him with Christ beyond the skies."
The funeral services which were largely attended, were conducted by C. S. Fair and Rev. N. D. Gordon, assisted by Rev. Tennant at the Belmont Zion church Dec., 4th., 1907.
