John W. Coles

Obituary
John W. Coles was born in Grunsey County, Ohio on the third day of April 1824 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. E. Brebner, on Dec 25, 1907, at the age of 83 years, 8 months, 22 days. In 1862 he joined the United Brethern Church at the Round Top School House. In 1865 he was married to Sarah C. Blattenburg. Tho this union was born three children, one of whom, Dora, died in 1878, the other two: Mary and Pearl, still survive him; his wife having died in 1885. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Evans from the M. E. Church after which he was laid to rest in the Liberty Center Cemetery.
