Obituary
Martin Theodore Flesher died at his home in Indianola, May 31, 1906. He was born in McClean county, Ill, September 8, 1842. With his parents, he came to Warren county about fifty years ago. He was a member of Company D, 34th Iowa Volunteers [during the Civil War], enlisting in 1862. He received an honorable discharge when his regiment was mustered out in 1865. September 12, 1867, he married Matilda Bales, who with six children, survive him. The funeral was conducted by Rev G. W. L. Brown at the Methodist Episcopal church at Indianola last Saturday, of which denomination he has been a member for several years.
