Obituary.
Freda, the youngest daughter of A. L. and B. J. Bassitt, died at her home near Sandyville, Oct. 21, 1904, age 4 years, 10 months and 1 day.
She was a very bright and cheerful child. The darling of the home and will be sadly missed. She leaves to mourn their loss, father, mother, two sisters, two brothers and a host of loving friends.
She was a very patient during her short illness.
Through all pains at times she'd smile, a smile of heavenly birth, and when the angels called her home, she smiled farewell to earth. Heaven retaineth now our treasure. Earth the lonely casket keeps,
and the sunbeams love to linger where our sainted darling sleeps. The little crib is empty now. The little clothes laid by. A mother's hope, a father's joy, in deaths cold arms doth lie. Go little pilgrim to thy home
on yonders blissful shore. We miss thee here but soon will come where thou hast gone before.
Funeral was conducted by C. S. Fair in the Christian church at Sandyville, Oct. 23, in the presence of a large audience who by their offering of beautiful flowers and many tears, attested their true sympathy for the bereft ones.
