Frances F. Spence
(March 26, 1852 - June 8, 1907)

Obituary.
Frances F. Derrough was born in Brown county, Ohio, March 26, 1852, and died Jane 8, 1907, aged fifty-nine years, three months and twelve days.
She moved to this county with her parents in the fall of 1856, and was married to H. P. Spence, April 15, 1875. To this union four children were born: Wm. P., Jessie M., and James U., and Carl D. She united with the M. E. church about twenty years ago at Social Plains, eight miles south of this place. The family moved to Indianola about eleven years ago and about three years ago she united with the Friends church at this place.
She leaves three brothers, and four sisters—Mary Silcott, Francis M. Derrough, Alice J. Howe, J. H. Derrough, Georgeanne Shaver, Sarah E. Judkins and Geo. W. Derrough, all of which are with us. She leaves a husband and children, brothers and sisters and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held at the Friends church Monday at 2 p. m. conducted by Revs. Kennedy and Brown.
