Keturah C. Gaston

Gone Within The Gates Ajar.
Keturah C. Gaston was born near Knoxville, Iowa, September 8, 1859, where she resied with her mother until 1876, when they moved to the home near Caloma, where she died August. 20, 1907, at the age of 47 years, 11 months and 12 days. She had only been sick a short time and her death being unexpected came as a great shock to the family and friends. She was converted and united with the M. E. church at Caloma a number of years ago and continued to be an active consistant member until the Lord saw fit to call her home. She leaves to mourn her sudden departure an aged mother, two brothers, Wm. and J. A., one sister, Mrs. John Rodgers, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. But we have sweet consolation that she is not lost but has "Gone within the gates ajar." Funeral services were held at the home August 23, conducted by C. S. Fair after which the body was taken to the cemetery near Knoxville for interment.
