Dillon Fremont Clark
(Mar 2, 1859 - Feb 3, 1911)

Dillon Fremont Clark, son of Alfred and Hannah Clark was born in Warren county, Iowa, March 2nd, 1859 and died at the old home where he was born February 3rd, 1911 aged 51 years, 11 months and one day.
He was married to Margaret Myers, March 11, 1883. To this union were born four children: Harry of Los Angeles, California; Watie, Will and Judson at home. They with the loving wife, aged father, one sister, Mrs. Bell Hodson of Indianola, and a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn his loss.
He left the comforting assurance that all was well with his soul. Through the long months of his sickness and suffering he often expressed himself as being ready to go and of the delights of meeting dear ones gone before. To his own dear ones that so tenderly cared for him, to his neighbors and friends who so gladly shared the long watches by his bed side, he loved to talk of that better country of the host of friends he would soon meet on the other shore. Many hearts are saddened by his going from us, for he could number his friends by the hundred.. Though we mourn for him, but not as those who have no hope, for we have the blessed assurance that he passed through the pearly gates into the Celestial City.
Beyond lifes toils and cares, its hope and joys its weariness and sorrow, its sleepless nights, its days of smiles and tears- will be a long sweet life unmarked by years, one bright unending morrow.
Funeral services were held. in the Friends church at Ackworth on Sunday, February 5th, 1911, conducted by C. S. Fair assisted by Rev. Dexter after which all that was mortal of this good man was tenderly laid to rest in the beautiful Ackworth cemetery.
