Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 9-5-2007:

Services for Glen Louis Wadle, 90 of Milo will be Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Milo with interment in the Belmont Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to his church or to the Milo Public Library.

Glen went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2007. He was born January 13, 1917 in Lacona to Henry and Clara Dittmer Wadle. Glen married Kathryn Vander Linden in 1942 and they farmed north of Lacona until 1947 when they moved to Knoxville. Then in 1960 they moved to a farm south of Milo.

Glen served on the election board many years, was a trustee for White Breast Township, and also as a trustee for St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was dedicated to his family and his church.

Preceding Glen in death are his parents; and siblings: Alfred, Virgil, Marvin, Irene Goodhue, and Helen Wadle.

He will be missed by his wife Kathryn, six children, Nancy (Jim) Fuller of Indianola, Anita (William) Klein of New Virginia, Mary (Mike) Donaghy-Richards of Indianola, Kathie (Jim) Chaplin of Milo, Gary (Diane) Wadle of Indianola, and James (Tara) Wadle of Milo; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Don Wadle of Fairbanks, Alaska, Giles Wadle of Pleasantville, and Darrell Wadle of Chariton.
