Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 4-5-1984:

Guy Jacob Wadle, the son of Jacob and Julia Gass Wadle, was born Jan. 4, 1896, at Melrose and died March 18 at his home in Melcher. He was 88.

He lived most of his life farming in the Warren and Marion county area. He was a veteran of World War I.

Services for Mr. Wadle were held Tuesday, March 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher. Services were conducted by the Rev. Joseph Brady and the Rev. John Whalen.

His wife, Catherine, and two sons, Frank and Bernard, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two children, James L. Wadle of Knoxville and Raymond A. Wadle of Melcher; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery near Melcher. A rosary service was held the evening before at the church. Mosher Funeral Home of Melcher was in charge of arrangements.
