Dorothy E. Beard, 58, of Indianola died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Linn Grove Cemetery in Warren County.

Mrs. Beard was born in Cumming and had lived in Indianola since 1937. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Forrest; a son, Monty of Indianola; four daughters, Cheryl Vickory and Rhonda Hypes, both of Indianola, Janet Meyer of Utica, Neb., and Terri Swan of Guam; her parents, Earl and Bessie Utsler of Indianola; a brother, Earl Utsler Jr. of Indianola; two sisters, Ethyl Wagner of Indianola and Doris Conkhite of Kentland, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
