Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 2-1-1998:

Dwain "Bud" Town, 74, of Milo died of cancer Thursday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo, with burial at Belmont Cemetery near there.

Mr. Town was born in Fort Dodge and had lived in Milo many years. He had been a farmer and truck driver and was a member of Milo Fire Department and Red Rock Coon Hunters Association.

Surviving are his wife, Alma; a son, Howard of Milo; three daughters, Nancy Smith of Milo, Joyce Phillips of Adair and Sherry Phillips of Indianola; his mother, Ethel Town of Indianola; two sisters, Louise Moore of Carlisle and Mary Jane Hoch of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 4 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice.
