Phyllis Jean Davison passed away on June 1, 2013 at the Village Care facility. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4 from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Indianola First United Methodist Church. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5 at the church with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Phyllis was born May 16th 1926, to Albert William Burger and Opal Tina (Akin) Burger on their Madison County farm. She was the oldest of three girls, and is survived by her sisters Mary Tassel Sun City AZ and Donna (Bill) Beeler of Panora Iowa. Phyllis attended country school, but graduated from Van Meter High School, president of her class of 1944. She then attended Iowa State University and majored in Home Economics. She met Glen Davison while they were each working in Van Meter. They were married on September 3rd 1947. This union produced her surviving children; Dennis (Tanya) Davison of Round Rock, TX, Linda (Jerry) Depue of Urbandale, IA, William (Judy) Davison of Houston, TX, Rebecca Burgin of Des Moines, IA, Ronald Davison of Las Vegas, NV, Jean Ann (Alan) Kretzschmer of Eden Prairie, MN and Timothy (Laura) Davison of Indianola. She had eleven Grandchildren and six Great-grandchildren.

After her family was raised Phyllis enjoyed a late in life career with Iowa Reality. She also traveled extensively, visiting every continent. Phyllis was a very caring, loving person always concerned with other people before herself. Memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
