Services for Kathryn Mahala Wright of Milo will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial in Indianola IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Wright , 73, died of cancer Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.

Born in Monroe County, she moved to Milo Two years ago and formerly lived in Polk County. She retired in 1986 as a clerical worker at Central Life Assurance Co. in Des Moines and was a member of Summerset Baptist Church.

Among survivors are her husband, Cephus; five sons, Gregory of Honolulu, Hawaii, Walter and Kevin, both of Des Moines, and Stanley and Jeffery, both of Indianola; six daughters, Naiomi Overton of Mitchellville, Sandra Bowman of Panama City, Fla., Mahala Judkins of Des Moines, Julia Payne of Hawk Point, MO., Sarah Hamilton of Medina, Ohio, and Suzanne Bensley of Indianola; five sisters, Frances Peters of Henderson, Nev., Patsy Janssens of Las Vegas, Nev., Doris Williams of Lancaster, Calif., Joyce Austin of Moline, Ill., and Judy French of Lenoir, N.C.; 49 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
