Margaret "Maggie" Catherine Snodgrass, daughter of Samuel Lincoln Snodgrass and Kathy Catherine Dhabalt, was born Jan.10, 1900 in Wayne County and died Monday, Sept. 10, in Indianola.
She was baptized at the age of 12 in the Baptist Church, attended school and grew up in the Chariton area.
On Dec. 23, 1919, she was united in marriage to John E. Lepley of Lacona. To this union three children were born, Virgil, Louise and Johnnie.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lacona.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise, son Johnnie, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Imo.
Preceding her in death were her husband John, son Virgil, two grandsons, Bobbie and Genie, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Lepley dedicated her life to being a good wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and devoted church worker.
Services were held Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Lacona United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Oliver officiating. Interment was in the Indianola IOOF Cemetery. Mosher Funeral Home of Lacona was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Maggie C. Lepley, 84, of Lacona will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lacona United Methodist Church. Interment will be at the IOOF cemetery in Indianola.
Visitation will be at Mosher Funeral Home in Lacona until noon on Thursday.
Mrs. Lepley died Monday afternoon, Sept. 10, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Lepley of Lacona; one daughter, Louise Thompson of Indianola; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John Lepley, died in 1972. The Lepleys had been longtime Lacona residents.
