Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 5-18-1990:

Charles E. Snodgrass, 58, of Lacona died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mosher Funeral Home, and burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Lacona.

Mr. Snodgrass was born in Hobart, Okla. He was the owner of C & J Lounge here the past 11 years and formerly worked 25 years in Des Moines for Ironworkers Local 67, of which he was a member.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; a son, Jim of Lacona; his mother, Maude Snodgrass, and a sister, Pat French, both of Hobart; a brother, Joe of Coulterville, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lacona Rescue Unit.
