Obituary from an unknown newspaper on 10-11-1982, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Darl Bryson Shupe, son of Kenneth and Lena Steward Shupe, was born June 20, 1920, on a farm near Liberty Center and died at his home near Liberty Center Sept. 23, 1982, at the age of 62 years.

A graduate of the Liberty Center School, he served 3 1/2 years in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 426 of Lacona. He farmed most of his life in the Liberty Center community.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Wyona; a sister Luthere Shupe of Indianola; two daughters, Kathy King of Indianola and Karma Critz of Overland Park, Kans.; six stepchildren, Terry Tiger of Des Moines, Trudy Ernst of Lacona, Brenton Tigner of Lacona, Brenda Gass of Carlisle, Lola Spear of Lacona, Valerie Tigner of Omaha; 18 grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.

Services were held Sept. 23 at the Liberty Center Methodist Church. Interment was at Liberty Center Cemetery.
