Alberta Marie Miller, 92, died Thursday, April 29,2004 at the Carlisle Care Center. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, May 3 at St. John Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas, with burial in the Dallas Cemetery.
Alberta (Shupe) Miller was born January 23, 1912 in Lacona, Iowa. She was a homemaker and is survived by her sons, Richard Miller of Knoxville, Tom Miller of Yelm, WA, Denny Miller of Springfield, MO, Mervin Miller of De Moines and Dwight Miller of Chicago, IL; daughters, Rose Denio of Des Moines and Roberta Rigel and Sue Willoughby, both of Melcher; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Icel Andersen of Grand Mauree, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin Glen Miller in 1965; children, Olive and Gerald; two grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation begins after 12 p.m. Sunday at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas, with family receiving friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to her family or the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chariton.
