James P. Seuferer, 65, of San Antonio, Texas, died there of respiratory complications Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999. Services were held Sept. 17 at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, of which he was a member, with burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery there.

Mr. Seuferer was born in Lacona and retired after 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was owner of Gateway Cheer Shop for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Shane and Todd; four sisters, Ruth Seuferer, Angela Daugherty, Patricia Miller and Winifred Nicholson; three brothers, Leo Seuferer, Frank Seuferer, and Howard Seuferer; and two grandchildren.
