Floyd Edward Seuferer, 84, of Knoxville died of prostate cancer Tuesday at Westridge Care Center there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Lacona, of which he was a member. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mr. Seuferer had lived in Lacona all his life before moving to Knoxville six months ago. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver and enjoyed farming, gardening, and playing cards.
He is survived by four daughters, Sandy Roland and Karen Vinsick, both of Knoxville, Nancy Varela of Clovis, Calif., and Barbara Garrison of Wasilla, Alaska; a brother, Giles of Lacona; four sisters, Gladys Dittmer of Lacona and Hildred Osborn, Lorraine Johnson and Beatrice Osborn, all of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home in Lacona, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
