Florence Josephine Ripperger, 92, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Thursday at Indianola Good Samaritan Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lacona, of which she was a member. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ripperger was born in Bauer and had lived in the Lacona area all her life before moving to Indianola four years ago. She had co-owned and operated International Harvester in Lacona with her husband before retiring. She was a member of her church's Altar Society and enjoyed singing at church, fishing, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Miller of Washington, Okla., and Rose Mary Metz of Indianola; two sons, Wilfred Ripperger of Lacona and Daniel Ripperger of Indianola; two brothers, Lawrence Seuferer of Des Moines and Herman Seuferer of Rancho Mirage, Calif., 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Firman.
A service will be held at 5 p.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home in Lacona, where friends may call from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lacona Fire and Rescue or her church's Altar Society.
