Dorothy Jean Fee, 80, of Knoxville died of a respiratory ailment Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Services were held Feb.1 at Dallas Christian Church in Melcher-Dallas, with burial at Dallas Cemetery.
Mrs. Fee was born in Albia and had lived in Melcher-Dallas and Lacona before moving to Knoxville six months ago. She had retired in 1978 after working for the Iowa Department of Transportation. She was a member of the Christian Church in Lacona and Rebekah Lodge in Melcher-Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corlett. Survivors include three daughters, Doris Fortune of Des Moines, Sara Ripperger of Pella and Deborah Bingham of Melcher-Dallas; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lacona or Melcher-Dallas fire and rescue units.
