Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 4-20-1989:

Marie Emma Wadle, 77, of Indianola died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, where she had undergone surgery for a heart ailment. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and burial will be in Indianola IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Wadle, a homemaker and member of the Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society, was born in Warren County and had lived in Indianola since 1961, coming from the Lacona area.

She is survived by two sons, Delbert of Des Moines and Norman of Milo; a daughter, Helen Hunter of Indianola; a brother, Edd Schurman of Milo; and two sisters, Hilda Gowin of Montezuma and Evelyn Riche of Indianola.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Overton's Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
