Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 6-22-1988:

Nicholas Robert Schneider, 40, of rural Lacona died Saturday, June 18, 1988, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines following an accident in which a car he was working on at his home fell on him. Services were held Tuesday, June 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Bauer, with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mr. Schneider was born in Pleasantville and lived in Lacona most of his life. He was a farmer and had been a member of Knights of Columbus and the Catholic church and the church council.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Sean Patrick and Brian Nicholas, and a daughter, Regina Marie Schneider, all at home; his mother, Louise Schneider of Lacona; and four brothers, Theodore and Michael, both of Des Moines, Daniel of Marshalltown and Christopher of Carlisle.

Mosher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas handled the arrangements.
