Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 8-11-2000:

Harold F. Schneider, 51, of Melcher-Dallas died of a heart ailment Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Meredith Corp. in Des Moines. Services were held Aug. 12 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas, of which he was a member, with burial at Bauer Cemetery.

Mr. Schneider was born in Chariton and had lived in the Melcher-Dallas area most of his life. He was a database researcher for Meredith Corp. in Des Moines and had worked in the family grave digging business. He was a member of American legion and Marion County Pork Producers. He loved hunting, farming and his community.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; two sons, Jeff and Josh, both at home; a daughter, Jenny at home; his father, Penny of Dallas; a sister, Bertha Warrick of Runnells; and a brother, John of Dallas.

Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas handled arrangements.
