Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 7-9-2005:

Luella Haselhuhn 89, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Monday, July 11, 200 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas with burial in the St. Paul Cemetery.

Luella was born December 23, 1915 near Wiota, Iowa to Henry and Anna Aldag Schmedtjen. She was married to Clifford Haselhuhn on August 6, 1944 in Wiota. Luella was very active in her church, enjoyed music as well as playing piano and violin, games and puzzles, gardening and baking, but enjoyed her grandchildren and great-granddaughter most of all.

Luella is survived by her husband, Clifford; her son, Kenneth (Linda) of Knoxville; grandchildren, Kyle (Cindy), Adam (Traci), and Nicki; great-granddaughter, Sarah; and sister, Dorothy Sunderman of Phoenix, AZ.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 10 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marion County Hospice, St. John Lutheran Church, or St. John LWML.
