Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 2-8-2005:

Dorothea Anna Woods, 89, passed away February 6, 2005 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 9 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Early in her life, Mrs. Woods was a rural school teacher near Medora and later was a motel owner operator before retiring in the early 1980's. She was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter JV and the First United Methodist Church.

Dorothea is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband, Ken Vesey of Indianola; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; a son, Richard, her twin sister, Doris Radetsky; and two brothers, Lewis and Howard Schee.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Flower Garden Fund at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center.
