Mervin Joseph Schaffer passed away December 30, 2011 at his home in Lacona at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Charlene; children: Cheryl (Jack) Blakey of Lucas, Karen (Craig) Spoon of Lacona, and John (Dorothy) Schaffer of Hartford; four grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; siblings: Helen Metz, Darlene Bauer, Doris Ferguson, Lucy Agan, Vera Seuferer, Wayne Schaffer, Robert Schaffer, and Delbert Schaffer. No services are planned.
