Obituary from the Oskaloosa Herald newspaper, Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa, USA on 9-8-2004:

Mildred Lucille DeMoss, 86, of Knoxville, died Sunday, Sept. 5, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House. Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville with burial following at Graceland Cemetery. Visiting hours are open today at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville; the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Pella Comfort House.

Mildred DeMoss was born in Percy, and had lived in the Knoxville area most of her life. She hung wallpaper and painted in addition to being a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Toom of Pella; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; five sisters: Stella Clark of Melcher, Margaret McReynolds of Des Moines, Ruth Loney of Knoxville, Zelma Beebout of Columbia and Evelyn Bachman of Knoxville; and two brothers: Howard Schrader of Newton and Virgil Schrader of Columbia.
