Laura Chamberlain, 80, of Pleasantville died of a heart ailment Monday at Pleasant Care Living Center, where she was a resident two years. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas, of which she was a member. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery there.

Mrs. Chamberlain, a homemaker, was born in Lacona and lived in Melcher-Dallas most of her life until moving to the care center.

She is survived by a son, Donald of Pleasantville; two brothers, Lester Knust of Indianola and Norbert Knust of Dawson; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
