Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 4-15-2008:

Funeral services for Corvin James Knust, 81, will be Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Lacona. Interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas.

Corvin was born September 1, 1926 at home to Theodore and Lola Knust. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the St. Paul Church and was involved with Senior Saints. Corvin enjoyed playing cards, traveling, liked to bowl, play pool and ping pong with his family. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and making sure he went to all their school activities. He served on the M-D School Board when his children were in school. He passed away April 13, 2008 at his home.

Corvin was preceded in death by his wife Beverly in 2003, and a brother Dean Knust.

He is survived by his children: Deborah (Chuck) Eldridge of Minneapolis, Tony (Jenny) Knust of Lacona, and Cindy (Bill) Bauer of Lacona; four grandchildren: Kylie (Jeff) Spies, Ted Knust, Alison Bauer, and Wil Bauer; a sister Bernice Myers of Knoxville; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
