Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 6-7-1984:

Funeral services for Martin R. Knouse, 70, will be Friday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home, Indianola. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Knouse died Wednesday at Indianola Good Samaritan Center where he had been a resident since April. 1981.

Born in Milo, he had lived in Des Moines and Melrose before moving to Indianola. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a cook at Bolton and Hay restaurant in Des Moines. He later was a self-employed carpenter and a trucker hauling coal to Des Moines.

Surviving Mr. Knouse are three brothers, Lee Knouse of Pleasantville, Newton Knouse of Indianola, Don Knouse of Yuma, Ariz. and two sisters, Evea Cox of Barterton, Ohio and Maxine Repplinger of Indianola.
