Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 7-6-1984:

Services for Lester Lee Knouse, 85, of Pleasantville, who died of a heart ailment Wednesday at an Indianola nursing home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mason Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Sandyville Cemetery.

Mr. Knouse was born in Milo and lived in Pleasantville most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasantville Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Irma Ellsworth of Des Moines and Mildred Brooks of Pleasantville; two sisters, Maxine Ripperger of Indianola and Eva Cox of Ohio; two brothers, Newton of Indianola and Don of Yuma, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
