Virginia Elizabeth Wickett, 86, of Lu Verne died of cancer Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at the hospital in Humboldt. Services were held Oct. 29 at Mason Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mrs. Wickett was born in the Green Plain community near Milo and had lived in the Liberty Center area before moving to Northern Iowa. She was a librarian at the Lu Verne School before retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce.

Survivors include two sons, William of Lu Verne, John Wickett of Humboldt; two brothers, John Kimzey of Piedra, Calif., James Kimzey of Milo; a sister, Shirley McPherson of Indianola; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
