Services for Jeremy Richard Kennedy 23, of Melcher-Dallas will be held on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas. Interment will be in the Tickle Cemetery. Open visitation will begin after 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas with the family receiving friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the Melcher-Dallas Fire Department or to the family of Jeremy Kennedy.

Jeremy Richard was born on December 24, 1982 in Des Moines, Iowa to Gregory Richard and Cynthia Louise (Tickle) Kennedy. He graduated from Melcher-Dallas High School in 2001. He worked for Pella Corporation in the shipping department. Jeremy enjoyed time spent riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles. He has been a member of the Melcher-Dallas Fire Department for seven years. He was committed and dedicated to being a volunteer firefighter for his community. But most of all, Jeremy loved being with his family and friends.

Jeremy passed away June 19, 2006 in Des Moines. He is survived by his parents, Greg and Diane Kennedy; three brothers, Tyler, Gregory and Mike; and one sister, Paula. He is preceded in death by his mother, Cindy.

Pierschbacher Funeral Home and Cremation Services are handling Jeremy's arrangements.
