Funeral services for Theo Milton Judkins, 84, of rural Indianola were held Tuesday afternoon, February 2, at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in the Ackworth Cemetery.

Mr. Judkins died Saturday, January 30, at his home following a long illness.

Born in Virginia Township of Warren County, he had been a lifelong Warren County resident. He had been employed by the Iowa Highway Commission for forty-eight years, retiring in 1973. For many years he was the superintendent of the Warren County Highway Commission. He had resided on a farm west of Indianola since 1961; previously he had lived in Indianola for thirty years. He had served on the Indianola City Council for seven years during the 1950's. He was a member of the Chapel of Faith and a charter member of Kiwanis Club in Indianola.

Surviving are his wife Iris; two daughters, Caroline Moen of rural Ackworth and Patricia Gilliland of Fort. Worth, Texas; two brothers, Joseph Judkins of rural Lacona, Iowa, and Elbert Judkins of Orland, California; four sisters, Hazel Ferguson, Gladys Hastings and Winnie Hastings, all of Liberty Center and Lina Hunter of Headland, Alabama; four grandsons; and three great-grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa or Chapel of Faith.

Theo M. Judkins, 84, of rural Indianola died of a heart ailment Saturday, Jan. 30, 1988, at home. Services were held Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home with burial in Ackworth Cemetery in Ackworth.
Mr. Judkins was born in Warren County near New Virginia. He retired in 1973 as a superintendent for the Warren County Highway Commission, where he had worked since 1926. He had resided on a farm west of Indianola since 1961; previously he had lived in Indianola for 30 years. He was a member of Chapel of Faith and a charter member of the Kiwanis Club and was a former member of the Indianola City Council.
Survivors include his wife, Iris; two daughters, Patricia Gilliland of Fort Worth, Texas, and Caroline Moen of rural Ackworth; two brothers, Joseph of rural Lacona and Elbert of Orland, Calif.; four sisters, Hazel Ferguson, Gladys Hastings and Winnie Hastings, all of Liberty Center, and Lina Hunter of Alabama; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church or to Hospice of Central Iowa.
